Moving On, Inside & Out!

Another Inspection has passed!
The insulation inspection passed & as the inspector was leaving he gave me two thumbs up!

The front entry door is now installed & the bottom half of the siding is going to be a light coloured horizontal stone. This was the first time I saw the stained glass that I chose for the building & it took my breath away, I love the look of it! It is hard to choose when it is a picture in a book.

The upper front vertical siding is now down & it gives a light & bright look to the building. The stonework on the bottom will compliment the front design.

This is the side entry door, the one that is located in the middle of the building.

The same stained glass door pattern is repeated in every exterior door.

I'll show how this is going to be finished up with photos as it progresses!

The back exterior door, this door is at the end of the long hallway.

You can do a visual on the length of that hallway from the exterior!

The other side of the buildings exterior length. The side door is the halfway mark.
There will be 5 feet of cement going down both sides of the building, creating an outside small area for sitting & easy ploughing come winter & it will be upon us next season!

The residents will be warm & cosy with all the insulation that is now completed inside & out!

I'll be adding drapery insulation behind the patio doors in the common room as well as the two windows in there too.

The side entry, the storage units will be inside this area.

This week the interior insulation will be installed on in interior walls.
                                                         Then the drywall begins!

This is the electrical room off of Bill's office space. The electrical lines where run underground & then into the building. Giving a clean sight line to the apartment building's appearance.

Bill's small office washroom, it is in scale to his small office! lol

This is the huge bundle of noise reduction, fire-retardant insulation that's being installed next.

The ceiling has fire retardant drywall, protecting the fire retardant ceiling insulation, that's protecting the steel roof. The code is being followed to the letter, giving us a double thumbs up!

So many of the residents' friends & family will enter from this door & I'm having a hard time thinking of the exterior door colour. It's not something I have to decide right away but it does have to be done soon. I'm waiting for the stone to be installed to a have a more complete look.

Thanks for popping in this beautiful weekend here in northeastern New Brunswick to see how the apartment is coming. It's on schedule, over budget, & beautiful!

Have a wonderful weekend wherever you are!
Cynthia
