Drywall, Ventilation, IKEA Kitchen Counter Tops

WOW!!

There has been a lot being done on the inside this week!

The outside looks about the same as last week. The building will be surrounded with cement around the building & a 6 ft area to the front of the building. After the cement has hardened then the brick will finish the front of the building.

The venting pipes are being installed in each unit, fresh air in, old air out!

The units one by one are being drywalled. There has been so much drywall installed!!

The venting pipes will have drywall bulkheads made to cover them.

It looks brighter inside with the white drywall.

The drywalling should finish & the tapping & mudding will begin!

Bill's office has a washroom & an electrical room within it. The new 400 amp service will be installed there next week.

The Le Salon/Common Room has all the drywalling done!

The hallway is busy & dark these days, soon there will be the overhead LED lights.

So much wiring has been done this week too!

The soundproofing insulation is really noticeable in the hallway! It is also installed between the units.

Bill arrived tonight with the seven IKEA countertops for the unit's kitchens.

These are the small countertop units that are installed next to the stove. You can see the neutral colour of the countertops in this photo.

The mudding mix has arrived on skids! I'm glad that we have Bill's shop to store the supplies as needed. Today the countertops were added to the storing of the things to be done. I can't wait to see the kitchens come together!

Thank you for stopping in to see the progress this week. The apartments are looking great & so much more to be done before the snow flys. Our son Mitchell sent photos today to show the snow on his Calgary truck this morning! We're into our summer weather here these days & enjoying the beautiful sunsets that come with the beautiful days.

This was last nights & tonight's sunset was even more vibrant & red. I just love the sunsets here!

Have a wonderful weekend wherever you are!
Cynthia
