The front of the apartment has come together beautifully!
The orange hues add a warm feeling to the cool grey colours of the brick & cement.
The white windows add a defined definition around each window & patio door around the apartment.
The front door sidelights are an element that is carried throughout the exit doors throughout the apartment, allowing light to flow inside.
The front foyer has the trim installed. The inside of the door will be painted grey & the lead windows will just pop. The trim will remain white & the walls are going to be a pale silver colour.
You can really see the light flow through the sidelights.
The apartment mailboxes will be installed in this niche, for now, it holds the tools & drinks. lol
The controlled entry door will be installed here & the controlled entry panel will be where the red wires are. So exciting for me each week watching this apartment complex come together!
The electrical panel was installed this week however it will be a couple of weeks before it is up & running from the pole. The waiting for NB Power is on as a new pole was installed & now awaiting the power to be installed on it.
The ceilings & bulkheads were painted in the flat colour of the bedroom colour. The room is surrounded by the same soft, light paint colour & that should help make those bulkheads disappear.
The colour Bill & I chose was from the Home & Country collection & I laughed when I saw its name, 'Quilted'. lol
The flooring is a natural looking floor with a hint of grey going through it giving it an aged look in this new install.
It will also help ground the room as each room is light and bright in colour.
It has a lot of foot/boot prints right now but will clean up easily.
The west side sidewalk is done & it looks great, I should have moved the shovel, oops.
The front is a foot wider than the sides and measures six-feet wide.
The westside concrete has now been poured & you can see it now has windblown fallen leaves on it!
The back of the apartment has a cement walkway too & I love how the installer did the 45-degree angling to accommodate the overhang pillars that will be clad with a whiteboard.
The upper IKEA kitchen cupboards are waiting to be installed.
And many more to be assembled, that is the IKEA trademark, flat boxes that make easy transport for you to get it home... then the assembling begins! Luck for us these are the same cupboards that were installed in our Hardwicke house & it's Jeff, the same person that put ours together. Good luck Jeff & Francis, great job so far & another short busy week ahead with so many boxes still left to assemble!
Thank you for stopping in to see the Eel River Apartment progress, it is an exciting time for our community to see this complex rise up & soon the home for many people.
Have a safe & happy Thanksgiving Day!
I've so much to be thankful for, family, friends, & my health. I'm truly living a dream!
Health & happiness to you too!
Cheers,
Cynthia
